When recently upgrading my system's processor to Core 2 duo E6750 my pro tools seem to be acting up. The problem: When playing back midi drum patterns with ezdrummer i'm experiencing weird results, notes not being played, whole sections being silent and suddenly all midi notes playing at the same time making one deaf. Other 'virtual instruments' such as bandstand are showing the same result. Also, the timeline marker and the volume-meters are updating very slow. The only thing that works flawlessly is the regular non-midi recordings. Anyone have a solution or ideas to work on this problem? I'm using Xp pro, Pro tools 7.31 with latest cl5 upgrade

What interface are you using? There is an update for midi on the 003.

Have you installed the Windows XP dual core hotfix? It really is necessary when using a dual core processor as it corrects problems in the Operating system that create errors in the MIDI clock.

Make sure you install the most recent one from the Microsoft website, and also restart after installing.
