Surgically removing 10.1 from your Apple install might be possible, but there are probably only a few folks at Apple who'd try it. Too many co-dependent files hanging around in System, I think, to make it practical. Realizing it would be a PITA, if you're using 10.2 only, why not simply wipe the internal and do a 10.2 install there? Or if you're still using OS 9 as well, partition the internal into 2 (or 3) bits, 10.2 on one and OS 9 on the other (the third maybe a small dedicated cache area). Reasoning is that your FW external is simply not going to be as fast as your ATE internal drive, given that the data's gotta flow over the ATE/FW bridge. You could really use the speed of the ATE internal for your system disk, given the amount of stuff OS X is thrashing about to the drive. Best of luck either way, Len
