i have always found it hard to get a nice beatbox sound. i know that covering your mouth really helps, but i'd like to try and get something that sounds good while using just a mic hands free also. i have seen people achieve this. i am looking for a sound similar to this: just wondering if anyone has any ideas for processing as to how to get teh nicest sound for some beatbox. it's getting the nice heavy bass that's tough i find. whenever i try, it always sounds weak, and not full.

thing is, my aim is not to have a beatbox sound in a production i'm making really. but just to have my freedom of beatboxing, sound good. i looove beatboxing, and i think beatboxing is the most free way to make beats known to man, you can make the most style of sounds, easily change pitch, easily change snare sound or tempo on the fly, and such a huge variety of sounds at your command. but i find it tough to get it sounding nice and strong and bold. i've heard people make it sound good. idk, maybe it's just compressor and EQ? maybe it's just the cabinet they are using? i'm not sure, but whatever it is, i'd like to know, because that will open up some new shit for me. i don't necessarily care much for the sound of a beatbox, it's not the beatboxedness i like, just the freedom of the instrument. if i use midi, i lose the part of it i like.
