Hi George Hope your enjoying it out there. Could it be the inlet manifold gasket? Drawing in unmetered air until it warms up until heat expansion seals the leak? Try a squirt of carb cleaner around the manifold to see if it causes a change in engine note. Numbers 1 and 6 would be favourite culprits.
Do you know which cyl the misfire is on? Can you swap the coil pack to see if it moves with the coil or not. Check continuity of all the wiring as it is a hot and hostile environment under the cover. Any oil sitting on top of the head? If you need spares but can't get them out there let me know and we can work something out to post them to you.
thanks for your imput, hard to tell which is misfiring.it only lasts about 10 15 seconds. if i had a spare coil i could change them one by one until and if the problem resolved. does any one have a spare coil?
