Hi there I'm looking at a Volvo S60, it has a "full" volvo service history but I am a tad weary of it. The car in question is a 2.0 Se. 54 reg. Manual at 74,850. service has been as follows : 1. March 2005 at 7.5k when it should have been 12k 2. 6 Sept 2005 at 17k when it should have been 18k 3. 21 may 2007 at 47k when it should have been 36k 4. 4 Jun 2008 at 68k when it should have been 72k. Am I being too paranoid in thinking that this is too off? It looks in very good nick itself but it's just the service history that is putting me off at the moment. What do you guys think of this, is it going to affect the car too much ? Thanks alot

Maybe one of the services hasn't been stamped in the book because the owner / lease firm forgot to hand the book over. Check with your nearest Volvo dealer as it is possible they may have a record of all of its services. Ask for a print off as proof and staple it to the service history book. Once a year service is good. A big gap in time and mieage is not, but there may be a genuine reason for it (i.e the book wasn't stamped)

On the MY05 cars the service intervals were 12 months or 18000 miles (whichever is earlier), aimed at fleet use. As DurhamRed says, speak to the dealer or VCUK - if the car has been serviced at a main dealer they should be able to access all the records. It looks like the first owner has been very cautious, servicing at 6 month intervals - as a 54 plate its first service should have been no earlier than September 2005 with the low mileage!
