I'm looking for a compact control surface that follows the track selected in PT automatically. It can be 1 fader or more. I just need to be able to grab and adjust volume in whatever I have selected in PT. Faderport and alphatrack don't do this across all tracks - only if you're within a bank of 8. Thanks!

Syra: I don't know your system info, but for the record I've spent a lot of time on the MC Control and MC Mixes and a 003. I MUCH prefer the 003. The 003 operates like Pro Tools, and until Avid updates the Euphonix boxes' software and hardware, they're going to operate (both in HUI and EuCon modes) like a 3rd-party box. Areas that are trouble for me are that the soft-key functionality isn't complete in EuCon, and I just can't get over the inverse thinking of On/Off Unmuted/Muted. Good luck, Nathaniel Reichman

Thanks for your input guys. The 003 would be a little bit big for my needs... Regarding the Euphonix, you guys seem to have different views on it... does it follow automatically the track I have selected in PT, or not? Thanks!!

The Euphonix has an "attentioned" track feature, so any single track selected in Pro Tools comes up on that fader- regardless of where the MC is banked. It's been pretty useful, especially in situations where I don't want to bank away from my busses, but need to grab some obscure FX track way off on one end of the mix window. You can also dedicate faders to certain tracks in the Euphonix software. If you need these features now, go out and buy and MC Mix and Control. But it seems pretty obvious that Avid will refresh this line-up with functionality that more closely resembles Pro Tools. I've used Control
