Did anyone try this yet? Is it stable? Or should I wait?

I haven't tried it yet. Since 6.2.3 requires Panther, I am going to install Panther and 6.2.3 on an external firewire drive. That way if there are any problems I can go back to OSX 10.2.8 and PT 6.1 without any trouble.

NO! Emphatically NO! It is STILL a very unrealiable system. I am getting insanely frustrated with it. The last two mixes I've run, resulted in numerous crashes, freezes, spontaineous (sp?) quitting of PT, Kernal Panics, Pops & Clicks in tracks, and CPU Overloads. It's been totally hit or miss on every session. Both sessions had 60+ tracks (48k/16) and at least 30 instances of various plug-ins all running at once. In OS 9/5.3, this NEVER caused even a hiccup. I even did a clean install of the OS for PT 6.2.3 yesterday. Todays mix wasn't as bad as the first, it only quit once, but I still got numerous CPU overload errors. I'm kinda stuck with PT 6.x since I have a G4 DP 1.25 and it won't boot in OS 9 (at least I don't think it will). If need be, I'd happily downgrade to a single processor 733 and go back to OS 9 if it meant total reliability. My advice, is if you don't HAVE TO move to 6.2, DON'T! Wait for 7.0. -G4 DP 1.25, HD3, PT 6.2.3, OS X.3.2 -SYNC, 2 192s, 2 888s -Craploads of Plugz

HD3 with 3x192 interfaces and 48 Analog i/O,G4 SP 933, Panther, 6.2.3, SCSI and UL3D with 10,000 rpm Cheetah 72 GB drives in Kingston bays and 48 Tracks of 48/24bit no problems (record and Play), have not tried DV video. No crashes over a number of days. Had a DAE Error -7 but I think this was due to very large allocation on a fragmented drive. Otherwise it Rocks

I should also say that I am using Machine Control and Generating TC from the Sync IO for every session. I am almost sure this has something to do with it. Sorry I didn't mention that earlier. Both options are absolutely %100 necessary. I know from past posts and from DigiTech Support that the SYNC IO is STILL not happy when it tries to play in OS X. C'mon DIGI, the last firmware update was in '02.

I have just posted a reply to someone who said that you cannot import audio off of a Qt in the 6.2.3 version...or at least it was not working for them. That is a problem for me! Also some timming issues as well. I always wait for a month like with OS's.. G

HD3 (1 process + 1 Accel), G4 450DP, OSX 10.3.2, PT 6.2.3. We work in 88.2Khz, running over 50 tracks on 2 FW400 drives per session, over 25 voices per drive. No Exp. Chassis and hardly any soft synths, as they hog our meagre CPU.
